In May 2016, Karthik G. Krish who earlier directed Kappal (2014) revealed that he had signed on Siddharth terms to direct a film featuring titled Shaitan Ka Bachcha. The following month, Karthik revealed that comedians Karunakaran, Thambi Ramaiah and Yogi Babu had signed the film, which would be an "action comedy". Vamsi Krishna called his antagonistic role "quirky" and a "crazy, interesting" one. Santhosh Narayanan joined the team to compose the film's music, while cinematography was announced to be handled by Aravinnd Singh and editing by Anthony. The film began production during June 2016, while Raashi Khanna was announced as the film's lead actress in September 2016.
