Shagufta Baig (born April 3, 1988 in Bhayander dist Thane, Mumbai, Maharashtra) is an Indian voice actress and Radio Jockey. She has been active in the entertainment industry since July 2006. She can speak English, Hindi and Urdu fluently and has also dubbed for foreign content.

Dubbing career

She is known to be the voice of Jessie (Musashi) in the second Hindi language dub of Pokemon produced in-house by UTV Software Communications for Hungama TV and aired on May 19, 2014. Her colleagues who worked with her in the 2014 dub were Nachiket Dighe (Voiced Ash Ketchum (Satoshi), and he also voiced Tracey Sketchit (Kenji) in the first Hindi dub), Anas Khan (voice of Gary Oak (Shigeru)), Rucha Dighe (voice of Misty (Kasumi)), Uplaksh Kochhar (voice of Brock (Takeshi)), Rajesh Shukla (voice of James (Kojiro)), Saumya Daan (voice of Meowth) and Anshul Chandra (as the Hindi voice of Tracey Sketchit (Kenji) for this dub). The XY series uses the Hungama TV Hindi dub cast consisting of actors of the new characters which include Sayuri Haralkar as Serena, Nilufer Middey Khan as Bonnie (Eureka) and Viral Shah as Clemont (Citron).

She has been dubbing movies into the Hindi language since 2006 (South Indian Films as well as series of English language TV programs in Hindi like Game of Thrones, True Blood, Veep, etc.) She usually dubs for main female protagonist roles into Hindi and is also a Radio Jockey with 107.1 FM Rainbow since 2006. She has been Hindi dubbing for Tamil and Telugu-speaking actresses such as Trisha Krishnan, Hansika Motwani, Raima Sen And Taapsee Pannu.
