Shadow Di General (December 17, 1991) also known as Abdool Khanoo is a Canadian rapper and songwriter. Born and raised in Suriname, South America, he grew up playing instruments such the drums and piano and furthered his musical talent when he migrated to Brampton, Ontario at the age of 13 where he ultimately took his love for music to another level by writing his own lyrics to beats and melodies, collaborating with artists such as JD Era and opening for fellow Canadian artist Blacka Da Don. In his first year as an Artist, he was signed to YGLB Ent. where he released his mixtape Everyting Loud(2015) with hits such as Keep Winning and Backwoods.

Early life
Shadow Di General was born in Paramaribo, Suriname to parents who were avid church goers, his father being a Pastor and his mother being a worship leader/singer. Both parents including sister, are of Guyanese descent making Shadow Di General the first of his generation to be of Surinamese nationality and to speak both the English and Dutch language.
Shadow Di General attended school in Suriname from nursery through elementary where he took drumming and keyboard classes. His talent proved to be impressive and he was soon asked to play regularly as the drummer for his church. Shadow Di General's interest in music quickly grew as he began performing at church events and concerts where he would play in front of large crowds.
When Shadow Di General was 13, he migrated to Canada with his mother, father and sister. Having never left South America, Shadow Di General began his life as a Canadian resident, settling down in Brampton, Ontario in 2005. Shadow Di General began high school for the next four years, staying under the radar when it came to his musical talent but excelled in sports such as rugby where played on his high school team. Surrounding himself with DJs, producers, and other musically inclined individuals, the love for music never truly left him. After a few experimental trials with lots of learning curves, Shadow Di General rose to the challenge and began working with DJs and independent artists to make beats, write lyrics and loan his voice on the occasional tune.
In 2014, Shadow Di General joined YGLB Entertainment. where he began focusing his musical talent towards his love for Hip-Hop, Rap and Reggae. In 2015, his first mixtape Everyting Loud was released demonstrating his versatily in music. Hits off the mixtape such as Backwoods, Everyting Loud and Slow Motion appealed to his West Indians fans and earned him the respect of his fellow Canadian artists. He soon began performing at small venues, paving a way for himself as a credible and passionate performer to opening sold out shows for JD Era, Blacka Da Don, and PriceDaBoss.
