History

Seventh Day Adventist Higher Secondary School, Ahmedabad was established in June 1979. The school had a very humble beginning with few classrooms and had only 18 students on roll. With the committed efforts of staff and administration, the school has progressed by leaps and bounds. A time came when it was required to look for a larger premises and better school building, Under the dynamic leadership of the present administration, the new school building has been built at Haripura, Maninagar, Ahmedabad.

Affiliation

The school is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Exams (ISC), New Delhi, in the year 1990. The Council was established by the University of Cambridge, Local Examinations Syndicate, with the assistance of the Inter-State Board for Anglo-India Education in 1958. It is registered under the Societies Act No. XXI of 1860.

Government responsible for affiliated schools in their States I Territories the Inter - State Board for Anglo-Indian Schools, the Indian Universities, the Association of Heads of Anglo-Indian Public Schools' Conference, the Association of Schools for the ISC Examinations and eminent educationists.

The Government of India Accorded recognition to the Council as a separate body conducting public examinations under Delhi Education Act, 1973, passed by Parliament in chapter 1 under definitions Section 2 (s).

The certificates issued by the Council are recognized by all the Education Boards in the country and by most of the Universities overseas.

SDA Higher Secondary School, Maninagar, Ahmedabad is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi, vide Reg.No. GU 001. Students are prepared for the ICSE Examinations at the end of Class X and ISC examinations at the end of class XII.
