Early career

Zenjov made his first-team debut for Vaprus at the age of 16 in 2006. A year later he joined TVMK. Zenjov was named the Meistriliiga Young Player of the Year in 2007. At the age of 18, after two seasons at TVMK, Zenjov moved abroad.

Karpaty Lviv

In February 2008, he signed a three-year contract with Ukrainian Premier League club Karpaty Lviv. On 25 February, he scored his first career hat-trick in his first game for Karpaty Lviv, a friendly against Horsens. His first Ukrainian Premier League match came on 1 March, a 1–0 win against Kharkiv. He scored his first Ukrainian Premier League goal on 28 July, in the 57th minute of a 1–1 draw against Shakhtar Donetsk. He only started ten games (one in the Cup competition), but by the mid-season of his second year in the club he played in 27 games overall.

Blackpool

On 3 July 2014, Zenjov signed a one-year deal with English Championship club Blackpool. He made his debut for the club on 9 August, starting in a 0–2 defeat at Nottingham Forest. On 2 December, Zenjov left Blackpool after the mutual agreement was reached to terminate his contract.

Torpedo Moscow

After leaving Blackpool, Zenjov signed a contract with Russian Premier League club Torpedo Moscow till the summer of 2017.

Gabala

After just six-months and 10 games with Torpedo Moscow, Zenjov signed a two-year contract with Azerbaijan Premier League club Gabala on 16 June 2015. During Gabala's 1–2 defeat to Qarabağ on 19 March 2016, Zenjov scored Gabala's 500th goal.

Cracovia

On 27 June 2017, Zenjov signed a one-year deal with Polish Ekstraklasa club Cracovia.

International

Zenjov made his debut for Estonia on 20 August 2008, against Malta national football team in a friendly match. His first goal was on 6 September 2008, in the 57th minute of a 2–3 loss to Belgium in a 2010 World Cup qualification match. On 14 June 2015, he scored his first brace in a UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying match, netting in each half of a 2–0 home victory over San Marino. Zenjov left Gabala in May 2017 after his contract expired.
