Serbia participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010 which was held in Minsk, Belarus. Radio Television of Serbia RTS held a national final to select the 5th Serbian entry for the contest in September 2010. Out of 10 contestants, Sonja Škorić from Minsk was selected to represent Serbia with the song, "Čarobna noć". Čarobna noć was the second ballad song from Serbia to be sent to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. In the 2007 Nevena Božović represented Serbia and finished 3rd, with the ballad Piši mi.

Before Junior Eurovision

Serbian broadcaster Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) announced the list of finalists of the national pre-selection Dečja Pesma Evrovizije 2010, set for Sunday, September 26. The music department of RTS selected the 10 finalists. Among them, there were three former finalists of the Serbian national final. Boško Baloš also took part in the 2009-10 pre-selection while Sonja Škorić (later the winner), took part in the 2008 pre-selection. They both finished in fourth place. Mia Jovanović was part of the group Čuće se in the 2009 pre-selection, and finished in third place.

At Junior Eurovision

The draw for the running order, Serbian song by Sonja Škorić was selected to perform fourth. On 20 November, She was followed by two ballerinas, and the choreography was changed after National Final. There were no clowns, and modern dancer. The stage was dark, and there were blue lights on. Moving stars were displayed on LED screens. As the song was going on, the lights turned yellow, and then the whole stage was lit. Sonja's stage performance was a solo act. Serbia finished this contest third, only 7 points behind the winner, scoring 113 points.

Sonja Škorić

Sonja Škorić was the first competitor from Belgrade to represent Serbia at Junior Eurovision Song Contest. She is from Pančevo, and was born in 1996. Škorić likes music and began singing at the age of five. Her first success was at the festival Raspevano proleće, which she won in 2002. She participated in a long list of festivals, winning prizes in Serbia and abroad.
