"Separate Lives" is a 1985 song recorded by Phil Collins and Marilyn Martin and featured on the soundtrack to the motion picture White Nights. It reached No. 1 in November, 1985 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Adult Contemporary charts as well as in Canada. It reached No. 4 on the UK Singles Chart, and was certified silver by the British Phonographic Industry.

Contents

Songwriter Stephen Bishop received an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song in 1986. It lost to Lionel Richie's "Say You, Say Me" from the same film.
