Marks played high school football at Vigor High School in Prichard, Alabama.
College career
On December 30, 2008, Marks announced he would forgo his senior season at Auburn and enter the 2009 NFL Draft.
Tennessee Titans
Marks was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the second round with the 62nd overall pick of the 2009 NFL Draft.
Jacksonville Jaguars
Marks was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars on April 2, 2013. After the 2014 season, Marks was voted number 76 on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2015 by other players in the NFL.
On March 9, 2017, Marks was released by the Jaguars.
