Selangor League is the state football league in Selangor. It is one of the 14 others concurrent top-tier state level league in Malaysian football league system and a fourth to sixth-tier league in national level. The league is managed by the Football Association of Selangor (FAS). The league has been established a long time where the earliest known records was in 1935. The league has undergoes multiple iteration of structures until its current structure took place. The current top-tier division in Selangor League is the FA Selangor Super League and the second-tier division is the FA Selangor Premier League while the third-tier division in state is the FA Selangor League Division 1.

Origin

The Selangor Football League or Selangor League has been held for a long time. the league started as Selangor Amateur Football League in 1905. The first known records of the league was in 1935 where the champion for that year was Rangers.

Eventhough the Selangor state football league was relatively unknown to outsiders, Selangor state has been a source of clubs for the national league for years. Some of the recent team from Selangor that currently and has been competing in the national-tier league are PKNS, Megah Murni and others.

    For 2016 season, 19 teams has competed in the league which was divided into 2 groups. The winner for 2016 Selangor Super League is Emkay-NPNG.

    For 2015 season there are 20 teams competed in the league.

  • Group A: PNSB F.C., Belia Selangor A, Horizon-Jeonsa F.C., Anak Kalumpang F.C., Airasia F.C., Shah Alam City Council F.C., Selangor Indian Association F.C., TLDM F.C., Kuala Langat District Football Association, Team Force.
  • Group B: PKNS F.C., Belia Selangor B, Klang Gate F.C., Emkay-NPNG F.C., Sultan Sulaiman Club, Kajang Municipal Council F.C., Malaysia Airlines F.C., Proton F.C., MAFC, Smart Focus F.C.

    • Selangor Premier League

    For 2015 season there are 43 teams competed in the league.

    For 2015 season there are 55 teams competed in the league.

  • Group A: Bayu Tinggi, Bukit Jalil, PPJ, Forza Maju Jaya, TC Manjalara, SP SMUTAA, Taman Berjaya, AU2 Falcon, PNMB, Lembaga Zakat, Kota Warisan, Vulcans, Bukit Kapara, Sinaran Bersatu.
  • Group B: Damansara, Setia Kelana, Waja, MMU, Hulu Langat District Football Association –D Cell United, TPCABukit Lanchong, Kapar, Armada, P. Putra Nuha, Remaja Bersatu, Puchong Rovers, GP Krigger, Selayang.
