Sekolah Bogor Raya (SBR) is a National Plus school for students in Pre-Kindergarten (Age of 3) through Grade 12 incorporated under the laws of the Republic of Indonesia as a non-profit organization. It is located in the town of Bogor, West Java. SBR was founded in 1995 by the Danasha Foundation for the purpose of providing English language education to the children of expatriates and Indonesians. SBR is affiliated with the Association of National Plus Schools (ANPS).

Curriculum

Sekolah Bogor Raya provides the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) Primary Years Program (PYP) at the primary level. This leads on to the IGCSE program which is then followed by the GAC program for university entrance at the Senior High School Level.

About Sekolah Bogor Raya

Sekolah Bogor Raya was founded in 1995 by Douglas Stoltz (until 2012)and is recognized as a national plus school with international standardization by Indonesian Law. In 2010, Gerald Donovan became the School Director. As of 2011, Sekolah Bogor Raya had over 550 students.

The school maintains both national and international accreditations;

Indonesian Government Accredited at Every Level ANPS (Association of National Plus School) Accredited - A Rating IBO (International Baccalaureate Organization) PYP (Primary Years Program) Authorized GAC (Global Assessment Certificate) Accredited CIE (University of Cambridge International Examinations)for IGCSE and A-Level

Sekolah Bogor Raya is a multi-faith school with students from many different nationalities and backgrounds. The school runs from Playgroup up to Senior High School and their students come mostly from the Bogor, Sentul, and Cibubur areas.

Facilities

SBR is a one-to-one laptop school. Students use laptops and technology as a medium for learning across the curriculum and the school campus is fully Wi-Fi equipped. SBR offers its students a multipurpose sports facility with a large playing field, climbing wall, basketball court, swimming pool and dedicated playground for the primary students.

Events

SBR is the regular host of the yearly National Spelling Bee. Based around the structure of the Scripps National Bee in the US, the National Spelling Bee is a large event that typically attracts participants from Grade 1 until 12 to compete against students from international schools from all over Indonesia.
