Etymology

The station is located near Segar Road. Segar means "fresh" in Malay.

Incidents

Fire broke out on March 9, 2015 in the electrical room, apparently one of the fuse box caught fire due to a sudden electric surge. The fuse box could not withstand the sudden surge and burst into flames, resulting a power shut down and a 24-hour service suspension.
