Seemanchal region is the northeastern part of Bihar consisting of four districts - Araria, Purnea, Kishanganj and Katihar which was backward region of India. but now its in developing phase, Just near Nepal as a tourist place. The dropout rate after high school is as high as 98 percent (but present data must be vary, will update later).

Many religious conferences are organised in the region which include the islamic Ijtemas namely Dagarua Ijtema and Araria Ijtema and many Hindu conferences.
Languages
Hindi-Urdu or Hindustani, Surjapuri, Maithili and Kulhaiya boli are spoken in this region.
