Seattle Academy has 788 students. Annual tuition is $30,852 for the middle school and $32,382 for the upper school during the 2016–2017 school year. The school consists of grades 6–12 and describes itself as a preparatory school whose mission is to "prepare students for college and life".
In 2017, the institution broke ground on a $48 million, 5-story middle school known as "Cardinal Union", located at the intersection of 13th Avenue and Union Street.
