Scott Tebeau is an independent filmmaker based in Tacoma, Washington who has been working in film since 1990. Originally from Seattle, he moved to LA and began a productive career as a special effects makeup artist. He has demonstrated mastery in this field, having earned an Emmy for his prosthetic work on Six Feet Under (Season 1). Beginning in 1994, he expanded his work to include writing, producing, directing, shooting, and editing. Through his projects, Tebeau investigates existential themes as well as varied social constructs that determine morality and how we assign worth. With three Tacoma-based colleagues, he is currently establishing Index Pictures, a film company that aims to improve individuals’ connections to their local-to-global communities through film that tells crucial and challenging human stories.
