Scott Horvath (born February 14, 1982) is an American former professional ice hockey player.

Playing career

Scott Horvath was selected in the 6th Round, 184th overall, by the Colorado Avalanche in the 2001 National Hockey League (NHL) entry draft.

Post-draft, Horvath returned to UMASS Amherst, to play for the Minutemen in the NCAA Hockey East Association before traveling to Canada to skate in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Toronto St. Michael's Majors between the years of 2001–03. During this same time period, Horvath attended training camps for the Colorado Avalanche and Detroit Red Wings.

Following a successful career in the OHL, the power forward played with the Toledo Storm and the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL between 2003 and 2005. During the 2005–06 season Horvath played in the United Hockey League (UHL), with the Port Huron Flags, following an early season trade from the Missouri River Otters.
