Aversano was educated at The Lawrenceville School (Diploma 1987), Brown University (A.B. 1991) and The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where he earned an M.A. in English Literature. As a producer, his film credits include That Awkward Moment, Killers, The Last Airbender, Failure to Launch, Team America: World Police, Changing Lanes, Orange County and Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events. In August 2006, Aversano was named President of MTV Films and Nick Movies.
