The School of Natural Sciences and Psychology (NSP) is the school for natural sciences and psychology at Liverpool John Moores University in England. The school is located on Byrom Street, Liverpool as part of the university's City Campus. It occupies the James Parsons Building and the Tom Reilly Building.

History
Part of the universities Faculty of Science, the school was formed in 2008 following the merger of the School of Biological and Earth Sciences, and the School of Psychology both of which were formed in 1992, after the creation of the new generation university.
Natural Science Research
The research in Biological and Earth science taking place varies widely from the land to aquatic environments as well as earth processes, generally falling into two categories:
Research Centre in Evolutionary Anthropology and Palaeoecology
Research takes place into the ecological and behavioural contexts of human movement in a comparative and evolutionary perspective. The centre was formed in 2004 and is known internationally, having publications in the Journal of Human Evolution, the American Journal of Physical Anthropology and the American Journal of Primatology.
Ecology, Evolution and the Environment Research
Theoretical and empirical approaches are applied to research into ecology and evolution in both natural and disturbed environments such as arctic and oceanic climate
Psychology Research
The school is currently producing research in psychology and applied psychology on areas such as: human factors, cognition, developmental psychology, consciousness, health psychology, transpersonal psychology and substance abuse.
Other work
The school has long lasting links with various organisations using facilities and conducting research with the institutions, such as Chester Zoo, The Poulton Research Project, Natural England, Mersey Forest, Wildlife Trusts, Blackpool Zoo, Martin Mere and Liverpool World Museum. Staff also act as scientific consultants for various projects, most recently on the River Mersey for the BBC The One Show, as well as hosting DockWatch, allowing visitors to the area see underwater with the use of cameras ROUV and interact with various organisms.
