Scenes from a Mall is a 1991 American comedy film directed by Paul Mazursky, written by Mazursky and Roger L. Simon, and starring Bette Midler and Woody Allen in one of the few films in which he only acted, without directing and/or producing, alongside Play it Again, Sam (1972), The Front (1976), The Sunshine Boys (1996), Antz (1998), Picking up the Pieces (2000) and Fading Gigolo (2013).

Plot

Nick (Allen), a sports lawyer, is married to psychotherapist and author Deborah (Midler). After years of being happily married, Nick reveals to Deborah that he has had an affair. She is soon shocked and requests a divorce, but later admits that she herself has been unfaithful.

Reception

The film received a mixed reception, and currently rates at 33% on Rotten Tomatoes. At the time of its release, film critics Siskel & Ebert gave the film "Two Thumbs Down".
Box office

The film was not a box office success but did manage to bring back its budget.
