Anwar Rahmati (Persian: انور رحمتی) is an ethnic Hazara politician in Afghanistan, serving as Governor of Sar-e Pol from 25 May 2010 to 3 April 2012. He was previously Chief of staff to Karim Khalili between 2004 and 2010.

Early life
Sayyed Anwar Rahmati Son of Sayyed Rahmat, is born in 1959 in Yakawlang district of Bamyan province. He studied his primary and middle school at his home district. He graduated from agriculture high school of Herat province in 1979. He graduated from agriculture high school of Herat province in 1979. He could not pursue higher education because of Soviet forces onslaught on Afghanistan. He joined Jihad against soviet and served in various capacities in politics and army of Nasr's Islamic Unity Party of Afghanistan. He is an ethnic Hazara.
