Sauron is a genus of spiders in the family Linyphiidae containing two species in Europe and Asia. Sauron spiders are 1.25 to 2 mm in total length. The genus name derives from the character Sauron from the books of J. R. R. Tolkien.

Sauron fissocornis Eskov, 1995 was described from individuals collected in the Saur Mountains of Kazakhstan.

Sauron rayi, originally described by Eugène Simon in 1881 as Erigone rayi, occurs throughout Central and Eastern Europe, ranging from France to Russia.
