Sault Ste. Marie Transit has 8 major bus routes and 2 Community bus routes serviced by a fleet of 26 buses and 2 minibuses, These 10 fixed routes cover 1.765 million kilometres annually and provide for 1.95 million passenger trips in 2013, at an estimate of 5,350 daily.
The Parabus service consists of 10 Parabus vehicles, which travel a total of 262,723 km (2013), and provide 47,258 passenger trips (2013) for 2,641 registered clients (July 2014).
The cash fare for all passengers on regular routes is $2.75 Monthly passes are also available, with reduced rates for students and seniors. Cash fare for the Community Bus is $2.75
Routes
There are eight major bus routes and two community bus routes. Colors used in the table below are as they appear on a map. All routes start at the bus terminal. Some buses change their destination sign when they arrives at their layover, but not all of buses show the route number. As Indicated in the table below only routes 1 through 4 change destination signs. Routes 5 - 8 stay the same route

Sault Ste. Marie is also connected to its American neighbour by the International Bridge Bus, which crosses the Sault Ste. Marie International Bridge [3]. The state of Michigan and the twin cities of Sault Ste. Marie provide the majority of the funding, along with Lake Superior State University and Sault College.[4]. The route travels hourly from 7:00 am - 6:00 pm on weekdays and 9:00 am - 4:00 pm on Saturdays. In addition to serving both downtown areas, the buses serve LSSU on the Michigan side and the Station Mall on the Canadian side.
