Saule (Kazakh: Сауле) is a traditional Kazakh and Central Asian female name. The meaning of the name is interpreted as a sunlight or sun. The history of the name goes back to the history of Zoroastrianism. Although the majority of modern Kazakhs have adopted Islam, Saule is still a very common female name.
