Personal life
Sarmistha Pritam was born on 18 December 1985 at Phuloguri, Nagaon Assam. Her father's name is Abhoy Baruah and mother's name is Renu Baruah. She started her schooling at Phuloguri L.P school and later she joined Phuloguri High School. She passed her higher secondary education from Raha High School and Higher Studies from Raha College. She is a daily writer of various Assamese newspapers. Sarmistha Pritam is suffering from Spinal Muscular Atrophy disease from her childhood.
Literary life
She started her career as daily writer of various Assamese magazine and newspapers. Later She published her own life story Sarmisthar Atmakatha as a book.
Organisation
She currently works with Okonir Kobita Ghor located at Raha, Assam.
