Life and work

Protick earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (Marketing) from American International University, Bangladesh (AIUB), 2009; studied Documentary Photography at the University of Gloucestershire, England, in 2011 and New Media Journalism at the University of Virginia, United States, in 2010; gained a B.A. in Photography at Pathshala, the South Asian Media Academy, in 2012; and studied International reporting at University of Oslo Norway/Pathshala, Bangladesh, in 2012.

Sarker is a lecturer at Pathshala. He was chosen by the British Journal of Photography as 'One to watch' in 2014.
