2012-2013

At 14 years old, Ferrucci made his professional debut in the SBF2000 Winter Series season, winning 3 out of the 10 races in the season, with a further 3 podiums.
2013

Now 15 years old, Ferrucci made a mid-season debut in the F2000 Championship Series, finishing 5th place in the championship.
2014

When he finally turned 16 years old, and old enough to compete in Formula 3, Ferrucci competed in 5 races in German Formula Three for EuroInternational, scoring 2nd in his 4th race, 3 races in British Formula 3 for Fortec Motorsport, scoring 1 pole, 2 wins, a 3rd place and 2 fastest laps and the end of European Formula 3 season, again for EuroInternational.
Reuniting with Fortec, Ferrucci participated in the end of season Macau Grand Prix. As a rookie, tackling the Macau circuit with ease is a big task for anyone, but Ferrucci fared well by finishing the main race in 8th, a very respectable place for a rookie.
2015
At the start of the year, Ferrucci raced his first full championship series in cars, racing for Giles Motorsport in the Toyota Racing Series. Due to consistency and very good performances, Ferrucci finished 3rd overall, scoring his first and only win at Manfeild and scoring 5 other podium places at Teretonga, Hampton Downs and Taupo. Despite being the highest placed driver in his team, Ferrucci was only beaten by future Formula 3 rivals Lance Stroll and Brandon Maïsano, who both raced for M2 Competition.
After his good start to the year, Ferrucci returned to European Formula 3, this time with Mücke Motorsport, finishing 11th overall and scoring his first and only podium in Formula 3 at Spa, finishing 2nd in Race 2.
At the end of the year, Ferrucci once again raced in the prestigious Macau Grand Prix, this time for Mücke Motorsport. After finishing in 7th in the qualification race after starting 11th and finished 6th in the main race, a strong performance from the young gun as not too many drivers have managed to finish inside the top 10 two years in a row at this gruelling circuit.
2016
After last year, Ferrucci moved to the GP3 Series with newcomers DAMS.
The season did not go well for Ferrucci's first weekend in the series at Spain, with a poor start in the Feature Race leaving him in 15th and an 11th-place finish in the Sprint Race.
The Austrian round wasn't the brightest weekend either. He lost control coming into turn 1 colliding into Jake Dennis and finished a lowly 15th in the Feature Race and 10th the Sprint Race.
For the British round, a mediocre 18th in the Feature Race was the best Ferrucci could manage but in the Sprint Race he finished in 4th place finally grabbing his first points in GP3.
For the next round in Hungary, it was another pointless performance. Like in Spain, Ferrucci finished 15th and 11th in the Feature and Sprint races respectively.
Arriving in Germany for the last race before the summer break, Ferrucci scored 2 points in the Feature Race by finishing in 9th position and 4th in the sprint race.
After the summer break had finished, Ferrucci needed a fresh start to the second half of the season. Starting at Belgium, he finished 7th in the feature race after starting 9th, meaning that he started 2nd for the sprint race. Ferrucci showed great resilience by finishing 3rd despite losing the lead and second place to the fast charging Jack Aitken and Antonio Fuoco.
Italy turned out to be an unlucky weekend for Ferrucci, finishing 19th and 1 lap down in the feature race due to a car failure right at the end of the race but muscled his way up to 11th in the sprint race but no points were awarded for his efforts this time around.
2017
In February 2017, DAMS retained Ferrucci for a second GP3 season.
Ferrucci made his Formula 2 debut in Hungary and will finish the remainder of the year with Trident.
Formula 1
After confirmation of Ferrucci's entry into the GP3 Series, he became a test and reserve driver for the Haas F1 Team alongside Ferrari Driver Academy member and GP3 champion, Charles Leclerc.
Ferrucci got his first taste of F1 machinery when he tested for Haas at Silverstone after the F1 British GP. He admitted to being frightened during his testing of the car in wet conditions, but managed to complete the test without any major issues.
In December 2016, Haas confirmed they would be retaining Ferrucci for 2017.
