Mission

SITC endeavours to find, involve and connect Torontonians with the opportunity to become "City Santas" by providing access to Letters to Santa authored by in-need children and posted on SITC's website. "City Santas" are able to anonymously adopt these Letters, then donate their contents to SITC for wrapping and delivery to partner agencies.

History

Inspired by a less-fortunate child's Letter to Santa received outside of a New York City theatre, Jacqueline LaRonde sensed other Torontonians would want to be a part of similar rewarding community experience. She founded SITC in 2006.

In 2008, SITC fulfilled 300 Letters to Santa, through the assistance of many "City Santas."

Partners

SITC is registered as a charity under "sister" charitable organization W.A.T.C.H. Community Service International, a non-profit organization based in Toronto that is dedicated to mentoring at-risk youth towards post-secondary success.

Other partners include: Framework Foundation, PBworks, and design groups Unihead and Stare at Jello.
