Sanipalati is a small village located in ward 7 of Bahrabise VDC in Sindhupalchok District of Nepal.

Development

Sanipalati is among one of the most developed villages in Bahrabise. The village enjoys most of the facilities since it is near from Bahrabise Bazar, the most well developed area in Bahrabise in terms of physical facilities. It has good facility of water, electricity, communication and transportation.

The village is connected to Araniko Highway by graveled road. Everyday two to three buses run from the capital city Kathmandu to Budepa and Bigu through Sanipalati. Most of the people have telephones connected to their houses while at least a member of a family has a mobile phone. Ncell and Smart Cell host two mobile network towers from this village for cellular communication in the village and nearby areas. There is broadband internet facility through Nepal Telecom's PSTN telephone lines besides cellular data.

Education

The village is known for its development in education and well educated people. Many people are teachers in various schools in and outside the village. The students from this village are known for their good grades. One of the renowned doctor of Sindhupalchok District, Mr. Subaj Bhattrai was born in this village. After completing their secondary and higher secondary school, most of the students choose to go to Kathmandu for further education.

There are two schools in this village. Shree Vishnu Adhyatmik Sanskrit Primary School, a renowned governmental school of Nepal, lies in this village. Keystone Public School, a private school, is also located in the village. Since both the schools run up to primary level, students go to other schools nearby for secondary education.

People

Sanipalati is populated with 95% of Brahmin people. Except few, all of them are Hindus. Moreover, most of the Brahmin people follow and believe in Sri Vaishnavism.

Most of the people are Paudel while Neupane, Subedi, Dahal, Adhikari and Bhattrai also reside here with harmony.

Most of the educated people are involved teaching and other professional services. Agriculture is also one of the main occupation of this area. People also keep animals mostly for milk and rarely for meat.
