Martin Macek known mostly by his stage name Sancho Martin is an actor who resides in Los Angeles, California. In 2010 Sancho’s extraordinary talent was discovered by renowned film director and producer Brett Ratner. Mr. Ratner immediately placed him in the Nabisco’s Oreo Cookie national commercial campaign entitled “DSRL Team” starred Shaquille O'Neal, Venus Williams, Eli Manning and Apolo Ohno.

In 2015 Peter Berg cast Sancho in the Discover Card national commercial campaign entitled “Freeze It” which has aired during the 73rd Golden Globe Awards, 67th Primetime Emmy Awards, 74th Golden Globe Awards and 59th Annual Grammy Awards and it’s set to be airing until August 2018.

Sancho also has huge passion for Motion-capture acting and movement. He has starred as a motion capture actor-suit performer in the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) The Real Cost anti-smoking national commercial campaign entitled "The 7000 Chemicals" where he worked with the A-list American actor and former contortionist Doug Jones (actor) and American special effects studio Legacy Effects. He was remarkably Body FX Live Casted on the critically acclaimed horror TV series, American Horror Story and had a contortionist solo on Fox's hit Glee (TV series). He has also performed as a motion capture actor for VICON House of Moves.

In January 2017 Sancho has wrapped currently Undisclosed Project starring Jeffrey Wright and directed by Oscar winning British film and television director Tom Hooper.

Early life

Sancho Martin was born in Zilina, Slovak Republic. Sancho's mother has Slovakian, Spanish and Native American ancestry and his father is Slovakian descent. His mother is a former gymnast-dancer and his father is a holistic-nutritionist and a national champion in powerlifting. Most of Sancho's childhood was spent in Kysucke Nove Mesto. Sancho was greatly influenced by his father's and mother's athleticism and optimum lifestyle and since his early childhood knew he wanted be a winner and become famous.

In 2007, Sancho graduated from the Associated Secondary School of Hotel Services and Commerce in Cadca, Slovakia with a major in Hotel Services and Culinary Arts. He completed four semesters at the University of Zilina Faculty of Science with a major in Mass Media Communication. While studying at the University, Sancho decided to study holistic nutrition following in his father’s footsteps. Sancho still passionately encourages young generation and other people to healthy eating and life choices in order to flourish holistically and live wholly.

Career

Sancho Martin’s professional career started in 1999, and almost instantly he began to win countless awards in the areas of movement and contortionist. Recognized for his outstanding and unique movement skills and achievements, Sancho participated as a judge at the international talent competition, “The Big Bang” in Brugge, Belgium (2009). In 2010 Sancho won 1st place at the Talent Awards, the Biggest European Talent Competition, which took place in Prague, Czech Republic.

His career options began to expand after he came to the U.S in 2008, landing a prominent role on Comedy Central's, “The Gong Show with Dave Attell" as a contestant, where he won the ultimate prize after being in the U.S for only two weeks. Some of his notable roles came from NBC’s hit TV sitcom “Community (TV series)” starring Golden Globe nominated Chevy Chase, “I Met a Producer and Moved to LA” comedy TV pilot produced by “Todd Stevens” , 2012 Sundance Film Festival Winner “Middle of Nowhere (2012 film)” directed by Golden Globes nominated director “Ava DuVernay” and Walt Disney’s family comedy “Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3: Viva La Fiesta” starred American comedian and TV host “George Lopez”. Much of his work came from enviable national commercial campaign work such as Coca-Cola’s Vitamin Water entitled ‘Prehistoric' produced and directed by MTV’s Punk’d executive producer Billy Rainey, 2014 Super Bowl’s Time Warner entitled “Grandma’s” hosted by American rapper and record producer Sean John Combs known as P. Diddy and Major League Baseball (MLB) Brian Wilson’s entitled “In The Beard” directed by Chris Nelson. Sancho’s career continued to expand with a wealth of television programming, film, television commercials and music video opportunities. His exotic appeal coupled with his unique skills, have caught the eye of casting directors and others within the entertainment industry in need of an actor who can perform the physically demanding roles required for movement acting. Sancho Martin has also been featured in branding events and music videos for Chris Brown 2011 BET Awards Winner single "Look at Me Now", Mick Jagger Super Heavy single, “Miracle Worker” directed by Scottish music video director Paul Boyd (director), One Direction’s hit single “Steal My Girl” directed by iconic actor and director Danny DeVito and Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony’s single “A Quien Quiero Mentirle”. Sancho Martin has also performed as movement character actor at “One Drop Foundation” Red Carpet events for the world-renowned entertainment group, Cirque du Soleil.
