Samuel Moyn (born 1972) is currently a professor of law and history at Harvard University, which he joined in 2014. On March 30, 2017, the dean of Yale Law School announced that Moyn has been appointed professor of law at Yale, effective July 1, 2017. Previously, he was a professor of history at Columbia University. His research interests are in modern European intellectual history, with special interests in France and Germany, political and legal thought, historical and critical theory, and sometimes Jewish studies.

In 2008, he won a Guggenheim Fellowship, and is currently a Berggruen Fellow at the Edmond J. Safra Center at Harvard.
