Samjur is a small village in Satiswara V.D.C , Tanahun District Western Region of Nepal. Most of the villages belong to Tanahunsur & Risti V.D.C are the neighbour villages of Samjur.

Nearly 5000 people used to live here many years ago, including Gurung, Pariyar, Biswokarma, Chhetri, Baahun, Muslim. Today it has a small population.

Most of the villagers are farmers; however, some have their own jobs and businesses. The villagers' main source of income is occupation. They spend most of their time working in the field helping each other.

Socialization is one of the key points that let the villagers improve their lifestyle day by day. In order to support the development of Samjur there has been established some local communities. For example, : Youth club .....

These communities has own responsibilities. Saving local cultures is main work of Youth club. Local people named that youth club as Shree Chandimai Youth Club. In every festival youth club use to held a small but effective ceremonies doing cultural dances and providing educational stuffs and informations to the villagers.
