The Western Visayas Chapter continued as an auxiliary youth arm of the Department of Public Information. Series of projects were conducted, like the Regional Staff Placement Seminar, reorganization of school chapters, Operasyon Luntian and Kalinangang Kayumanggi.

The loss of government support (WHICH, APPARENTLY, WAS TRANSFERRED TO THE KABATAANG BARANGAY OR KB) did not hinder the hopeful and optimistic heart of the SBK to maintain the organization.
