Sam Mills III is an American football coach. He is the Defensive quality control coach for the Carolina Panthers of the NFL. He has been a part of the Panthers staff since 2006. Previously, Mills had worked in defensive quality control only, and in 2011 received the additional title of assistant defensive line coach.

In the 2015 season, Mills III and the Panthers reached Super Bowl 50 on February 7, 2016. The Panthers fell to the Denver Broncos by a score of 24–10.

He is the son of Sam Mills, a former linebacker who played for the Panthers and Saints. His father is the only Panthers player to have his number retired and remains the only player inducted into the team's Hall of Honor.
