The Sam F. Davis Stakes is an American Thoroughbred horse race held each winter at Tampa Bay Downs racetrack in Oldsmar, Florida. It is open to three-year-olds and is used as a prep race for the Grade II Tampa Bay Derby. In recent years, it has served as an early prep for the Kentucky Derby, producing at least one starter in the Run for the Roses in 10 of the last 11 years. Five winners of the race have gone on to win the Tampa Bay Derby: Phantom Jet (1987), Speedy Cure (1991), Marco Bay (1993), Thundering Storm (1996) and Burning Roma (2001).
