Sam Effah (born December 29, 1988) is a Canadian sprinter. Effah's parents both emigrated from Ghana before moving to Calgary, Alberta, where Sam Effah was born. Effah is the fourth fastest Canadian ever after running a 10.06 in the 100 metre in July 2010. Former Canadian star Bruny Surin is one of the Canadians to have run under 10 seconds and he offered his coaching services free to Effah in hopes that he too could break through. At the 2009 Canada Games Effah won the gold medal in the 200 m.
