Sakshi Talwar is an Indian Home Decor Entrepreneur, writer, artist and actress. She runs an online portal by the name of Rugs and Beyond which is an Ecommerce platform for One of a Kind, handmade rugs and carpets empowering local weavers and craftsmen.

She is also the Creative Director of Yak Carpet, India which is one of the oldest handmade carpet establishments in India. She currently writes for The Huffington Post and has been written about in The New York Times, Business Standard, Entepreneur.com, Architectural Digest etc.

Sakshi recently conducted a workshop primer on “Discovering and following your true passion” at an event organized by Ted Talks in New Delhi. A techpreneur by profession and an artist by passion, Sakshi paints modern contemporary art pieces and recently held her art exhibition in New Delhi with the sole aim to donate a part of the proceeds to the lesser privileged children. Her work can also be seen in Art Galleries in Los Angeles and London other than on Saatchi Art.

Sakshi holds an MBA (Finance) from Bryant University, Rhode Island, an interior design specialization from Parsons, New York and a course in international business strategy from London School of Economics and Political Sciences. Her undergrad is a Double Major in Accounting and Finance.

Sakshi has always loved the art of Method Acting which led her to pursue the same at Stella Adler, Los Angeles where she honed her skills of Stanislavski Method of Acting. She has appeared in the upcoming Hollywood film- The Second Coming of the Christ and played a reporter.

Early Days

Sakshi is born in New Delhi, India and has spent her childhood there. She has 2 siblings. Sakshi's father is a successful Entepreneur who has lived in Europe in his early life, while her mother is an accomplished artist herself and paints Contemporary paintings with Charcoal as the medium.
