Three athletes from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines were selected to the team by granting wild card entries, without having qualified. Track sprinter Kineke Alexander reprised her role as the nation's flag bearer for the second time at the opening ceremony. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, however, has yet to win its first ever Olympic medal. Neither of these athletes advanced past the first round of their sporting events in London.
