Subedar Major Sai Khan (Urdu: سائ خان‎‎; 1938 – 21 July 1996) TK(M) also Known as S.M Sai Khan was a commander and officer of the Pakistan Army and later serverd as Inspector in Pakistan Police.He fought the both Indo-Pakistani War of 1965 and the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.
During the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965 he was wounded from his unit for 5 days but he fought the war and kills the many enemies alone .His overall performance was rated very high and he rose up through the ranks to become a Subedar-major. The government of Pakistan awarded Sai Khan with Tamgha-i-Khidmat (Military) for his Work. Sai Khan was a Shaheed (Martyr) on 21 July 1996.

Early life and background

Khan was born to Mr.Khayali Khan who fought the World War I and later Martyr in World War II. His grant father Abbas Khan was a Chief of Pashtun tribe in 20ths . He Was also Pashtun.
Khan have one son and three daughters . His son Akhtar Khan is a banker and former member of Ministry of Interior (Pakistan) and his grand son Khayal abbas Akhtar is a Computer Programmer and Software engineer.

Pakistan Army

Sai Khan joined the Army, into 3rd Frontier Force Regiment the Regiment of the Pakistan Army around 1955 and at the time of partition opted to serve in the Pakistan Army.As a Havildar in the Army, he participated in Indo-Pakistani War of 1965. He served in that position until 1967. During the war he was wounded from his unit for 5 days but he fought the war and kills the many enemies alone .His overall performance was rated very high and he rose up through the ranks to become a Subedar-major in mid 1970s.

Khan remained a part of the military establishment as long as he was in service with no links to any political or religious groups as per the tradition of the army.

Khan was promoted to Subadar in 1975 into 36th Frontier Force Regiment and later Subedar-major, a senior rank of junior commissioned officer of Pakistan army.

Pakistan Police

After the retirement in 1985 Sai Khan entered into Pakistan Police in 1987 where he served as Inspector in Punjab Police (Pakistan) till his death in 1997.
