Biography

Sagit Zaloof Namir was born in 1978 in Kfar Saba. She is known for her non standard representation of still life objects. She usually takes the real life objects from their context and re-creates them as vulnerable personal images. Her photography style is minimalistic with delicate game of nuances. Sagit Zaloof Namir graduated from WIZO Haifa Academy of Design and Education with BFA. She teaches photography classes in WIZO Haifa Academy of Design and Education, Minshar School of Arts and Gavra School of Photography in Tel Aviv. Zaloof Namir was teaching photography workshops in Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art from 2007 till 2009. Zaloof Namir is one of the judges of judges of Local Testimony exhibition and award in 2016.

Zaloof Namir works are part of different public and private collections, including Haifa Museum of Art and Bank Hapoalim art collection.
