History
Safe-T Data was founded in 2013 by Amir Mizhar with $5M round A from a strategic investor in the cyber and homeland security space. The company launched its initial public offering in 2016.
Products
There are 2 main products - the Safe-T Box and RSAccess. The Safe-T Box provides a solution that allows an entity of any size to control and broker a secure data exchange between any applications, people, businesses, and cloud solutions. It is designed to efficiently add both control and security over a wide range of data exchange patterns to and from the Cloud.
RSAccess provides secure and safe data access via a reverse-access solution. It allows for one to dispense with storing of sensitive data in the DMZ.
Safe-T partners with application and technology providers such as FICO, Microsoft Partner, Airwatch, ECI, and MobileIron.
The company sells and markets its products globally through an indirect and direct sales channel.
Safe-T was named a ‘Cool Vendor in Mobile and Wireless' by Gartner. It was named one of the 20 Most Promising Enterprise Security Companies by CIO Review.
Technology
The reverse-access technology of RSAccess, means that one can pass data between two networks through a firewall, without having the need to open an incoming firewall port. In addition, it allows one to dispense with the requirement to keep classified data in the DMZ. This in turn reduces the chance of a data breach.
The technology of the data exchange broker allows organizations to efficiently add layers of security to cloud processes that already exist, which strengthens the control of the sensitive data exchange and reduces the costs. The modular nature of the architecture means it can integrate into legacy data platforms.
