History

Sacred Heart Academy was established in 1949 by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Brentwood.

Uniform

Students are required to wear uniforms. The school uniform is a white blouse, maroon or blue blazer, a just above the knee length skirt, school-issued maroon or navy tights, and either oxfords or penny loafers. The skirt colour varies depending on which year the student is in.

Athletics

Sacred Heart Academy is a member of the Nassau Suffolk Catholic High School Girls Athletic League and participates in interscholastic volleyball, basketball, softball, soccer, lacrosse, track and field, cross country, swimming, golf and tennis. Basketball, softball, soccer and lacrosse teams have all won state.

Musical Theatre

Sacred Heart Academy produces an annual musical in which all grades may audition and participate. It is held in the Virginia Crowley Theatre.
