Vice Admiral SV Bhokare is an Indian Navy officer, currently serving as Commandant, Indian Naval Academy.

He commanded the submarines INS Sindhughosh, INS Sindhudhwaj, INS Sindhushastra, as well as the frigate INS Beas and the submarine baseINS Vajrabahu. Before taking over the command of Eastern Fleet he served as Flag Officer Submarines until 25 September 2015.
Education
He holds a master's degree in Defence and Strategic Studies from the Australian Defence College, Canberra
