SM Center Muntinlupa, formerly called SM Supercenter Muntinlupa was said to be the 30th SM Supermall built in the Philippines, and 4th among other SM malls opened in the southern region of Metro Manila, after SM Southmall in Las Piñas, SM City Bicutan and SM City Sucat in Parañaque. The mall is built beside the Pepsi Warehouse and the Land Transportation Office.

History
The mall is strategically situated in close proximity to various residential areas in Tunasan and the nearby city of San Pedro, Laguna making it accessible to shoppers. Construction of the mall began in early 2006. However, it is revealed that the mall itself sits just a few meters from a known visible fault-line which is part of the West-Valley Fault System, making it extremely vulnerable in the unlikely event of a major earthquake although it is believed that the engineers have already strengthened the foundations and the superstructure to counter this. Its grand opening was held on November 16, 2007 and was attended by former Muntinlupa City Mayor Aldrin San Pedro, former St. Peregrine parish priest Fr. Luigi Ilari, Archbishop Pedro Dean, National Bookstore founder Socorro Ramos, and Felicidad Sy.
Location
Aside from its monthly events in the Activity Center, Masses are also held every Sunday at 9 am for Catholic patrons before the mall opens. Jeepneys and buses going to Alabang-Pacita and various parts of Manila ply the main road. There's also a Tricycle terminal conveniently located in the mall so transportation is readily available to the mall-goers. SM Center Muntinlupa is open daily from 10am to 9:30pm although on special occasions and during the Christmas season they tend to extend their shopping hours.
