SFM was founded in 2006 in Geneva, Switzerland. By 2011, the firm had opened offices in Seychelles (2009) and Hong Kong (2010) and was helping create onshore and offshore companies around the world. Prominent locations for these offshore companies included Seychelles and Cyprus. By 2012, SFM was forming companies in 15 different jurisdictions. In 2013, the company moved its headquarters to Dubai. There, the company continued to offer services like international tax planning and corporate structuring (among others). In 2015, SFM was awarded the Offshore Excellence Award as the "Independent Corporate Service Provider of the Year - UAE" from Acquisition International. In April 2015, SFM collaborated with officials from the Ras al-Khaimah emirate on a roadshow in Geneva. SFM is a member of the International Tax Planning Association and the International Financial Management Association.
