Subsidiary Bank Sberbank Of Russia Joint Stock Company (KASE:TXBN) is a Kazakhstani commercial bank. The head office is in Almaty, Kazakhstan. As of 2012, the bank had 13 branches in the country.

Owners and management

SB Sberbank of Russia JSC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Russian Sberbank. The board of directors has 6 members. As of 2011 Konstantin Kolpakov was the board chair. Kolpakov was minister of justice in Kazakhstan from 1995 to 1997.

Indexes

On January 12, 2011, the bank assets were raised for 66% and reached 470.2 billion tenge. Net earnings were 7.4 billion tenge. The organizational structure included 95 groups; 13 of them are branches.

History

The bank was established as a TexakaBank in March 19, 1993 in Dallas, Texas. The bank came to Kazakhstan in October 1993.

At first the bank was small. Capital on August 1, 2005 was 2.46 billions tenge (US$ 18 million) and assets were 22.47 billions tenge (US$ 167 million). As of the end of 2004, 90.3% of stocks were owned by American Gregory Noul Studer. Another 9.7% belonged to Igor Gekko. At that time, Texakabank was recognized as the best client service bank by National Business magazine.
