Early years

Hell grew up in the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce district of Montréal, an area known for its tree-lined streets, brick houses, ethnic diversity, and mix of rich and poor. As a youth, his dream was to one day be paid to play hockey and be paid to play music. He had reached both by the age of 18. His favourite team growing up was the Quebec Nordiques.

High school years

Hell attended Collège Notre-Dame du Sacré-Coeur in Montreal, Canada, and was a letterman in hockey and also played football. In both these sports, he has played alongside future professionals - NHLers Ben Guite, Jean-Luc Grand-Pierre, and Mathieu Darche, and NFLer J. P. Darche. He graduated in 1995.

Junior college/CEGEP

Hell attended both Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf and CEGEP Du Vieux Montréal, earning complementary film and literature degrees.

University

Studying film at both Concordia University and Université de Montréal helped him garner a reputation as a hard worker who had studied the theories and could be allowed to break them apart.

Music Life

While mostly known throughout his involvement with UnPop Montreal, he has performed in Montreal clubs since 1990 and has been touring since the mid-90s. He briefly moved to New York City where he tried to stir the underground music scene in the late 90s before settling back in Montréal by 1999. He also own his small independent label, Kitchen Records/Productions.

Recordings

Recording for his first solo record started in 2005. While many mixes and demos have circulated in Montreal and on the internet, it has not yet been officially released, thus some local music critics dubbing it Chinese Democracy. Many special guests appear on the recordings, including UnPop Montreal founder and Ghettonuns frontman Nathan Munn, Guillaume Nadeau (formerly of The Sainte Catherines), Mike Sokolyk of Whiskey Trench, members of Plunt, and Daniel Santos of Scream Elliott. It is currently slated for release on September 14, 2008. He is also said to be working on releasing his lyrics as a poetry book.

Singles

Though the full-length album was not yet released as of 2013, he has released singles in Distroboto machines in Quebec and online via CD Baby and Bandcamp, as well as complete live concerts on CD.
