  • Career

At the age of 20, after playing shows for a few years in and around the west coast of British Columbia, Worsley was introduced to members of the band Maplewood Lane, who resided in Gibsons, British Columbia, and became the band's lead guitar player. Upon arriving at a local studio to record Autumn on the Radio, band members realized the studio did not employ an in-house engineer. With no experience, Worsley confidently took on the recording duties and instantly fell in love with it. He then went on to play with the Seattle, Washington based band The Pale Pacific and Vancouver band Dawntreader. After a brief stint in Paper Moon, Worsley produced, recorded and mixed their 2009 release "Only During Thunderstorms".

Ryan Worsley has gone on to produce some of Canada’s top acts including Juno winners Dear Rouge. He produced, recorded, and mixed all of their Canadian alternative rock chart Top 20 singles, “I Heard I Had”, “Best Look Lately”, and Black To Gold, as well as the album Black To Gold. I Heard I Had reached #3 on the Canadian alternative rock chart for seven consecutive weeks and was the third most played song on Canadian Rock Alternative radio in 2014. Best Look Lately peaked at #13 on Canadian Rock Alternative Charts. Dear Rouge released "Black to Gold", their debut LP, on March 31, 2015 on Universal Music Canada.

In addition to recording and producing a number of finalists in the Peak Performance Project, Ryan has also recorded and produced multiple winners of the Fox Seeds Contest and Shore 104's Best of BC Contest. Other rising and notable Vancouver-area artists that have worked with Ryan include Bed of Stars, Greg Drummond, the Written Years, Alexandria Maillot, Tough Lovers, P'aris, and Little India. He primarily works out of his own studio, Echoplant Sound in Coquitlam, British Columbia, but also works out of such studios as the Warehouse, Monarch Studio, Mushroom, the Hive and the Farm.
