Early life and career
Prior to sportscasting, he played forward for the Kamloops Blazers of the WHL and attended the Broadcast Communications program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
Broadcasting
Prior to becoming a reporter for The NHL on TSN in 2004, Rishaug served as a sideline reporter on their coverage of the CFL on TSN. Rishaug has served in a variety of roles at various Canadian stations. Prior to joining TSN he was a weekend sports anchor, at CFRN-TV from 2000-2003. He was a sports anchor/reporter for MCTV from 1999–2000, and was a sports anchor for CFSK-TV in 2000. He got his start as a sports reporter at CFJC-TV from 1998-1999.
