Rurkee (Rurki) ਰੁੜਕੀ is a village in Jalandhar district in Punjab, India. This village has two sides (ਪਾਸੇ) Dhad Rurkee and Khaire da passa. The major caste in Rurkee is Jatt although there are many Tarkhans in the village. There is also some Ad Dharmi families on the other side of the village (ਚਮਾਰਲੀ). Most of the Jatt people belong to the last name Kooner in Rurkee. The vast majority of this village belongs to the Sikh religion, the minority are Hindus.
