History

Run DMT was previously a duo, consisting of Robbins and Chris Parson, until Parson left the group in July 2012.

This is all the commentary received about the separation to this day. The real answer to what exactly happened to cause the split of the duo may never be known. Both Chris Parson and John Robbins continue to make music to this day.

The name Run DMT was used by Michael Collins, who debuted with his album Bong Voyage in 2009, a year before the EDM duo formed. He has since changed his artist name to Salvia Plath, due to copyright issues.
