History

In 1994, a small independent label called Patriot Records released a compilation album called Premium Cuts that featured three brand new song from Barren Cross, Red Sea (a new band by Robyn Kyle Basuri from Die Happy and Chris Howell from Fear Not), Neon Cross, and PK Mitchell (a former Neon Cross guitar player). They quickly changed their name to Rugged Records and went on to release full length records from all of those artists, as well as albums by other established acts such as Bride and Ken Tamplin. They released two albums by Disciple, which produced a number of hit singles and GMA Dove Award nominations. The label closed in 2001.
